Among the Churches

Current Notes

Stroud, England (Society).—The growth of the Christian Science movement locally is marked by the necessity which has arisen for the extension of premises, a new hall having recently been opened. Christian Science has been at work in Stroud during the past ten years, a room in George Street being the scene of some of its early activities. Later a move was made to Lansdown Hall, and eventually the movement found a home in London Road. The need arising for more seating capacity for the meetings of the church, a new hall has been built adjoining the old premises, which will still be retained for the purpose of Reading Rooms, and so on. The congregations, which are increasingly large, are drawn from Stroud and the surrounding districts.
