Words cannot express my gratitude for the understanding of Christian Science, and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for what she has done for mankind. I have enjoyed reading the testimonies in the Journal and Sentinel, as they are always a help to me. Through the suggestion of a kind friend, I would like to tell of a few of the healings I have received through the study of this wonderful truth.

I came into Christian Science for healing; and was healed of nervous indigestion and constipation. During the winter of 1920, I had a severe attack of influenza, which developed into lung trouble; but through the help of a practitioner I was completely healed. The following winter I had inflammation in one of my eyes. I had been troubled for several years with what the specialist pronounced "a closed tear-duct." He was very anxious to perform an operation, and told me I would yet be glad to come back to him. When the inflammation was overcome, I found I was healed of the closed tear-duct; which was supposed to be hereditary in our family.

The second verse of a well-known hymn reads:—
