About five years ago, I became quite seriously ill with a nervous trouble. I was under medical treatment, and the physician said that my family should send me to a lower altitude. I was therefore taken out of school, and sent East for six months. Returning, I again entered school, only to find myself, after a little while, in such a condition that I had no control over my muscles, being unable to walk alone or even to feed myself. At this time, my family, having been led to Christian Science through a dear friend who is now a practitioner, called upon her for aid. Loving, patient help was given; and, after several treatments, I began to improve.

Before I go farther, I wish to express my gratitude for the tireless, loving help which the practitioner gave me when error seemed so real to me. The healing was slow; but I am thankful for this, because during that time I read all of Mrs. Eddy's books. This healing has been permanent; for there has never been a return of the trouble.

I have had many other physical healings, for which I am extremely grateful; but, beyond all these, I am grateful for the spiritual understanding which I have gained. The true knowledge of God and of man's relation to God is a constant source of joy and a fount of right thinking for me. I am grateful for the privilege of teaching in the Sunday school, and for the help which I receive every day in my regular school work from the applied knowledge that God is my source of intelligence.
