I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude for a healing I had last winter. It was a beautiful Sunday; the snow was falling fast and covered the ice. I was returning from church, when I slipped on the ice and fell. The fall was so severe that I could not get up and had to sit in the snow until assistance came. I was picked up and carried home. I thought at first that I could do my own mental work but the pain was so severe I had to call a practitioner. One foot and ankle were badly injured and very painful, the ligaments being torn. I received help immediately. The work was complete in three weeks so that I could go without crutches. I lived with a dear sister who was so full of fear that she tried to insist upon an X-ray or a bandage, or material applications lest I should be a cripple for the rest of my life. I clung to the truth closer than ever and told her and her friends that I had the great Physician and that He did not need an X-ray to do His work. I feel so grateful to Mrs. Eddy for giving us this beautiful truth that sets us free from bondage, also to the practitioner who lived so close to God that it was possible to bring about the healing so quickly. I am thankful that I can walk as well as I ever did and I can hardly tell which foot was injured. I am so grateful for Christian Science that my desire is to live closer than ever to God, and to let my light shine that others may see the good work.—(Miss) Malinda Page, Waterloo, Iowa.
