Truth's Lesson

Each day I'm learning how to be
Just a little more like thee,
O Lord, so tender, strong, and pure;
O thou who didst the cross endure;
That we the way might know.

Each day I'm learning how to speak
The word that gives strength to the weak,
That heals the sick and saves from sin,
That brings all tired hearts within
The radiance of God's light.

Each day I'm learning how true prayer
Can prove God's presence everywhere.
I'm learning how to be more kind;
To prove that God, alone, is Mind,
And man, God's perfect child.
