Ten years ago I became a victim of nerve trouble which later terminated in neuritis. I took treatment from medical men, bathed in and drank medicated waters, but still the trouble continued, and finally I was forced to give up business entirely.

When my attention was called to Christian Science I was a wreck, suffering from a severe attack of herpes as well as acute neuritis. I asked for help in Christian Science, and after the first treatment the craving for alcohol and chloroform was gone. In three days the skin trouble and neuritis were overcome, in eight days all desire for tobacco had left me, and on the twelfth day I ran upstairs two steps at a time, something I had not done since the early days of my trouble. All this was a revelation. I had been a druggist for twenty years, and here was a cure brought about by Christian Science where drugs and medical science had failed.

Sixteen months have passed since my healing. Domestic happiness has entered what was formerly a home of discord, financial entanglements have been straightened out, and spiritual enlightenment and understanding now fill the thought that was formerly turbulent and cloudy. Words cannot express my deep gratitude to the revered Founder of Christian Science, for this Science has done all for me. It has taught me how to discern the real from the unreal, the true from the false,—the incompatibility of good and evil, love and hate, light and darkness.
