In August, 1907, when I turned to Christian Science I was a mental and physical wreck, my only thought being to get out of this world in some way, I cared not how, in order to relieve my family. I had been under the care of physicians almost continually for about eighteen years, and had been told by several of them that I would never be well again, as I had weak lungs, catarrh, liver, kidney, and stomach troubles, an abnormal growth, and had suffered a complete nervous breakdown.

For over a year I cried out to God that I might be shown the way, and finally went to see a Christian Science practitioner. She explained Christian Science as best she could in so short a time, declared that God is Love and does not willingly afflict His children, and then a treatment was given me. I left her home full of love and joy and peace, and with the first gleam of hope in years. A year from that time I accepted a position, and have been constantly employed ever since. The healing has been permanent.

Some time ago I had another proof of the power of Truth as revealed in Christian Science. I was very ill with influenza and had every symptom of acute lung trouble. For days the suffering was almost unbearable; but a practitioner treated me, and I was confined to my bed only one whole day and a few hours daily for about four days, though the weakness was not so readily overcome.
