Christian Science is the greatest thing in my life, and is lifting me from pessimism to its opposite. The growing knowledge of God as infinite Principle, divine Love, is strengthening and inspiring me. I have been healed of many physical ailments, also of nervousness, an irritable temper, and in a measure of painful self-consciousness, as a knowledge of the allness of divine Love leads me to forget the body and human personality and brings a sense of joyful assurance and of unfailing help and protection.

This assurance is particularly helpful in these days of war and uncertainty. Divine Mind is guiding and guarding us all the way. I would especially mention the Zeppelin raids, which are frequent in our district. Being a physical coward, I would naturally find them terrifying, but every time I realize the presence of Life, Truth, Love, I am spared all suffering, and the event is transformed into an uplifting experience.

From our many healings it is hard to select the best, but the quick healing of my little son from an attack of bronchitis showed me the potency of Christian Science as compared with material remedies. This attack was overcome in two hours by absent treatment, after the father and I had worked all the night previously with no apparent result. I never saw such a quick healing by any other means; it was most impressive.
