As I recall the past, consider the present, and read in the Bible the promises to all who love and obey God, my heart goes out in gratitude and love to our revered Leader for her interpretation of the Scriptures as given in Science and Health. This has helped me to a full realization of man's true birthright; and not only so, but it has helped all who love the truth therein taught. The blessings that have come into our home since I have been studying the Bible and Science and Health have been many, and I can now truly say to every one, "I love you."

Love is leading me in paths that are healing and pleasant. For many years I was constant user of tobacco, save when I was endeavoring to break myself of the habit through willpower, during weeks of torture which only a confirmed user of the weed can know; but today, through the reading of Science and Health and the understanding of its teachings, I am free, and I cannot recall one desire for tobacco during the past three years. Each day brings trial and temptation in various forms, and while I am not walking over the waves all the time, I can say, with a heart full of love to God and hope for a higher understanding of the truth, "Praise God, from whom all blessings flow."
