"GRACE FOR TODAY"*

Grace for today, O Love divine,
To understand and love Thee more,
To yield the mortal will to Thine,
Denying self that presses sore.

Grace for today, Thou Love divine,
The sick to heal—the hungry feed;
Blot out all fear—let Thy light shine
With tender warmth on each one's need.

Grace for today, Thou Love divine,
With patient steps to follow him
Whose nature pure, so like to Thine,
No wrong could stain nor sorrow dim.

Grace for today, O Love divine,
So when at eve alone with Thee
My waiting heart may be a shrine
For that sweet call: Abide in Me.
