About fifteen months ago a neighbor who is a practitioner introduced Christian Science to me, for which I am more than grateful, as it has been a great benefit to me. I began directly to feel stronger and better in every way, until I accidentally ran a rusty hairpin into the back of my head, with the result that inflammation set in and a very large carbuncle manifested itself. The suffering was very intense, and I became fearful of poisoning. Two days later my husband called upon our neighbor and asked for help. I am thankful to say that after two days' treatment the carbuncle broke and my recovery was so rapid as to cause great astonishment to my husband and myself, more especially as my husband had been confined to the house for several weeks with smaller ones, and in spite of the fact that he received medical attendance and constant nursing, it was fully six weeks before his wounds healed. In my case, before the week was out, I was able to go about my household duties, and even to do some gardening during the second week, at the end of which I was completely healed.

Prior to taking up the study of Christian Science, I was continually subject to attacks of asthma and bronchitis, both of which have practically left me since. Every day I feel I am receiving more benefit and help from the reading of that wonderful book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I am deeply grateful to Mrs. Eddy for having discovered the long hidden truth which enables me to understand the Bible so much more clearly.
