Christian Science has been the only medicine that my two little children and myself have taken for over two years, and I have applied it to every problem that has confronted me. While walking, as it seemed, in "the valley of the shadow of death," the light of Truth was brought to my attention. We were in great distress financially, and also were in need of physical help at the time, but I can truthfully say that within twenty-four hours my two children and myself were healed.

I had a severe catarrhal ailment of several years' standing, which physicians told me could only be relieved through an operation. I was in Chicago at the time, and after speaking to a Scientist of my consultation with a specialist about a bone growth which had to be removed, she merely remarked that Christian Science would heal it without an operation. During the day, although I read Science and Health, my condition seemed to grow worse; but late that afternoon, on blowing my nose, I found a piece of bone in the handkerchief. My youngest child, then seven years old, had trouble with her eyes, said to be due to after effects of a fever. Not only were they painful and the suffering intense, but blindness threatened her. My other child was taken with a bad attack of croup; but all these ailments were met within twenty-four hours. Was this not sufficient proof of God's power?

During the short time that I have been reading Science and Health, I have overcome physical ills and accidents at different times and have worked out numerous business problems successfully. I am indeed thankful for the help I have received in the bringing up of my children, and for the progress they are making in school work. I have found that Christian Science is as far above medicine as the skies are above earth. I am thankful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, for this truth.—Mrs. J. S. Pollock, New Orleans, La.
