LINCOLN DAY LESSON-SERMON

[It is the custom of the Governor of Massachusetts annually to issue a proclamation calling upon the people of the commonwealth to assemble in their churches for the observance of Lincoln day, and in accordance with this proclamation The Mother Church and the branch churches in Massachusetts hold a service on that day. As it has also become the custom of some of the churches of this denomination in other states to do likewise, for the convenience of such churches as wish to hold a service on Feb. 12 next, we publish the Lesson-Sermon which has been compiled for this service by the lesson committee.—Editor.]
