I feel it my duty to acknowledge publicly what Christian Science has done for me. A little more than a year ago it found me without God or hope in the world, a great slave to personal idols and to sin. Today I not only have a God, but one that I know, one I can understand and love, a God who is Love. Through the study of the Bible, which had been a closed book to me for years, and Science and Health, together with the help of some dear Scientists, these conditions have all been overcome. It is indeed with a deep sense of gratitude, both to God and to dear Mrs. Eddy, that I hereby acknowledge these great blessings received through Christian Science.

George B. Campbell, Los Angeles, Cal.

Before coming to Christian Science I was an invalid, unable to attend to my household duties, and obliged to lie in bed most of the time. I had severe stomach and bowel trouble, and the doctor said it would be a long time before I got over it, if I ever did. One of my neighbors, who had been treated by Christian Science, brought me the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and the nurse who was attending me at the time read it to me, as I thought I could not read for myself. Both the nurse and I thought it was very good, and after a while I asked my neighbor to take me to a Christian Science practitioner. I had been treated but a very few times when the bowel trouble left me; in a week or two I could use the sewing-machine all day long, for which I was very thankful. It seemed as if I could not do enough, and soon I was able to do all of my work, including the washing and ironing for a family of six.
