Four years ago I seemed to be passing through "the valley of the shadow of death." A Christian Science practitioner was telegraphed to for treatment, a letter following to tell somewhat of the circumstances. I was having alarming hemorrhagic attacks, one following another at close intervals, but these were stopped before the letter reached the practitioner. Premature childbirth had come on, and under the law of mortal belief blood-poisoning was manifest. The physician called to do the surgical work said on leaving, "She may pull through, but is apt to go any minute."

No material means were used; we relied wholly upon God for the healing. I was healed of the lung trouble, the blood-poisoning, and many complications connected with this case. I can never be grateful enough for the truth that overcame this discord and disease. My treatment was entirely absent. I am very grateful for a better understanding of Christian Science, and in the application of it have had many proofs of God's care and protection, in the prevention of sickness, the overcoming of sickness, also discord and worry in business. I wish to give this testimony in appreciation of the blessings received through the teaching of Christian Science, through loyalty to the truth as set forth in Mrs. Eddy's book. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I thank our dear Leader for this revelation of Truth, and feel that in striving to live Christian Science I am benefited in many ways.—Sarah E.
