AMONG THE CHURCHES

First Church of Christ, Scientist, opened its new rooms on the fourth floor of the Somerset Building, Portage Avenue, last evening [Nov. 15]. A large number visited the rooms and there was a general reunion of the members, who were pleased with the quarters which have been provided by the board of directors. The rooms are three in number with a spacious lobby.

This is the eleventh year of the church in Winnipeg, and from its organization membership of twenty-one members it has grown until there are now one hundred and thirty, with an attendance of two hundred. It is the intention of the church to erect an edifice in the city next year, if it is possible. The statement was made last night that nearly every member of the church present had been given up by the doctors and had been cured by Christian Science.—Free Press Bulletin.
