In your report of a recent sermon at Albion the speaker said, "There are so many divisions of the church, and so many new teachers that people are confused." It would seem that this statement was the whole to the whole problem. Our brother claims for his church that it is the only true instrument to hand down "The faith once delivered to the saints." So do others and it is quite probable that each can prove its right to the position quite as logically as can the our brother represents. It is granted that the Christian church is founded on the teachings of Jesus Christ, and Master gave as indicating his true followers.

He said, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature," and then he enumerated the signs by which all who believed (understood) him should be known: they should heal the sick, raise the dead, cast our devils (evils), etc. These were the only accredited signs of a believer in the teachings of the Christ, and that these teachings were followed for three hundred years is proved by the works done by the church for the length of time.
