A Sacred Union

What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

These words were spoken by the Master under circumstances which render them peculiarly significant to our times, but their meaning would be unwarrantably restricted if it were limited to a declaration of the sacredness of the marital relation. The expressions of truth which pertain to the redemption of humanity likewise have their appointed place and relation to human welfare and advance, and this order cannot be disturbed or ignored in our thought without trespassing upon Truth's law of identity, and experiencing consequent loss.
