"Let God Reign"

To "let God reign" is our present work. These three little words seemed whispered to me one night, in a wakeful hour, and at once so plainly and clearly did the errors of sense and self stand out to my waiting thought, that I was startled with the fuller realization of the subtle error of self-righteousness,—self,—which assumes to usurp the presence and the power of God. It remains for us to heed these warnings of Truth through the still, small voice, and to put them into practice, day by day, until we shall reach the goal, knowing and expressing all Truth. As we reach a higher basis mentally and morally, the physical results follow naturally, and through these "signs following" come courage, strength, gratitude, and rejoicing that we are thus able to do our appointed work—to grow in grace by letting "God reign."

If a good face is a letter of recommendation, a good heart is a letter of credit,—Lord Lytton.
