Breaking cycles of suffering - Program 304
Guests: Ethel Baker, Lynne Buckley-Quirk, Mark Swinney, Robert Coe Gilbert
Whether it’s cycles of violence, a pattern of failure, or even recurring sickness, some problems seem to haunt us over and over. And the outlook for breaking those cycles can be just as discouraging. But some people have put a stop to them, and attribute the turnaround to their growing understanding of God. It’s that spiritual understanding, they say, that shows why none of us have to put up with a pattern of evil as simply the way things are. A number of years ago our first guest struggled each month with suffering that became more and more severe over time. But she came to see that she didn’t have to put up with it.
