The last time I read the Bible straight through I noticed something new: Inclusiveness is an overarching theme. This is noteworthy, since people sometimes think that the Bible is judgmental, exclusivist, or even divisive.

Your ability to heal

It was less about what Jesus was thinking, or even what he was saying, than about the love of God he was reflecting, the purity of God’s creation he was seeing, and the curative effect that such a divinely inspired view had on others.

Turn it over to God

I slowly learned to relinquish the belief that I was responsible for fixing others or righting the injustices of the world and to instead have greater faith in God’s ability to right what is wrong and fully care and provide for His children.
Blessed are You, O Lord! … Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.—Psalms 119:12, 105 (New King James Version)
The inspiring ideas contained in the Sentinel were right on target—just what I had been searching for.

Because You are here

Dear Father-Mother God,
if I feel
that I am here
but You are there
—separated by space or time …

Trusting God with track season

This athlete wanted to perform well—for herself and for her track team. But when the stress got to be too much, she knew she needed a change of mind-set. And that started with God.

Severely injured hand healed

I began to realize I could recognize and trust God’s control over all events—past, present, and future.
The healing was so complete that I got dressed, took my dog to a park—which is our normal routine—came home, and worked the rest of the day.

Cold symptoms gone

When I woke up Saturday morning, I realized I was completely free of the cold symptoms, which must have disappeared sometime on Friday without my noticing.

Mortals and Immortals

Christ Jesus uses the phrase “children of light” to urge his followers to embrace the light of spiritual understanding.
