Choosing where our thoughts dwell

The consciousness of Love is our real home.

Prayer, together with study of the Scriptures and Mary Baker Eddy’s book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, has helped countless people feel closer to God and find healing. Sometimes, though, it may seem as if we have to study and pray to actually reach the enfolding arms of divine Love. But in truth, we are living expressions of God’s joy and love, dwelling already within the embrace of Love, God. Christian Science reveals that joy and harmony are ever-present aspects of this reality, and it is the consciousness of this Love that is our real home, where we can dwell in serene acknowledgment of our spiritual wholeness and well-being.

The ideas we accept as true and the thoughts we think determine how we experience life. To the degree that we conscientiously think out from Christ Jesus’ teachings, we abide in the consciousness—the palatial “home”—of infinite Truth and Love.

Keeping divine Truth at the forefront of our thinking, we find that the supposed reality of disease begins to fade.
