No more thirst for revenge

Have you ever thought how peace-filled a place the Middle East would be if the concept of revenge was unknown to humanity?

Israelis and Palestinians wouldn’t be making peace; they would be at peace. Iraqis wouldn’t be involved in sectarian violence; they would be working together to build a new society. Iran and the United States would be helping them—as partners!

What the heart yearns for in the Middle East is healing. And in my favorite book on healing— Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures—Mary Baker Eddy makes a brief but profound comment: “Revenge is inadmissible.”
