Good leadership—when every move counts - Program 305

Guests: Karl S. Sandberg, Clifford Kapps Eriksen, Sandra Rygel

In these tense times, when every decision counts, when every exercise of power carries big implications, and every move seems crucial, it makes sense to think about what good leadership is and how we can put it into practice. We all know what a difference it makes when someone in a pivotal role encourages the best in others and helps to strengthen rather than dominate them. And we’ve seen what can happen when the opposite occurs. We spoke with people who’ve had first-hand experience overseeing important work—in the military, in education, in the business world. They’ve arrived at some helpful views about what good leadership is, and how it relates to each of us.
