A call to watch and pray - Program 314

Guests: William E. Moody, Wendy L. Manker, Ben Clarke, Beverly Goldsmith

If you could summarize, in a couple of words, what many of us are wondering these days, those words might be—What’s next? In attempting to answer that question, many spend a good deal of time watching the news, keeping a close eye on the latest events—not only globally, but also locally. And no doubt it’s important to stay informed. Also, we’re all familiar with nationwide alerts, and when we’re to pay extra attention to our surroundings. But are these cautionary steps enough? Are there other ways to be watchful? One instruction from Biblical times was to “watch and pray.” So, what were people to “watch” for, and how did that relate to their prayers? We’ve talked with some people who make it a habit to “watch and pray,” and will explain not only why that’s important to them, but also how it’s made a difference in their lives.
