Embraced in God’s love; severe pain disappears

One Saturday morning I was awakened by a severe pain in my stomach. I started to pray about it but couldn’t find relief or go back to sleep, so I got up and went to another room to continue praying.

Although it was difficult to concentrate because of the extreme pain, I managed to read the Bible Lesson for that week from the Christian Science Quarterly. This Lesson is composed of citations from the Bible and from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

Then I began to think about the spiritual lessons I had been learning since I was a child in the Christian Science Sunday School—about how Christ Jesus healed others and about everyone being God’s reflection. I knew that I was God’s perfect expression, my Father-Mother God’s perfect child, and that as God’s child, I could not be separated from Him, because He is infinite and ever present, and He fills all space.
