Thought-provoking article

[Deb Hensley, “The teapot and the right stuff,” Sentinel, November 27, 2017]

A huge thank you to Deb Hensley for her thought-provoking article! I especially found the comparisons between actual “stoning” and “thought-stoning” to be an enlightening reminder of how very important it is to keep careful guard over our thoughts regarding others.

Inspiration and laughter

I enjoyed reading Nancy Carbonneau’s testimony “Quick healing of bee sting” in the November 20, 2017, Sentinel. I especially liked the intentional or unintentional pun at the end of her testimony, “For in him we live, and move, and have our being [bee-ing]” (Acts 17:28). It brought inspiration and laughter for my entire day.

The Jonah story in a new light

So glad for the article “The Bible in our lives” by Lois Degler in the November 13, 2017, Sentinel. I never before thought of Jonah’s story in the light of eternal life. This is the beauty of Christian Science, understanding the Scriptures spiritually. Thank you!
