Preparing my thought to serve

When I went through Primary class instruction in Christian Science, I was really striving to understand how to apply the healing power of God’s love and was deeply committed to learning more about man’s relationship to God. For me, this desire also felt like an expression of gratitude for God’s eternal care for His children.

The step of class instruction unfolded very naturally. Members of my family who were not Christian Scientists were supportive of my decision to attend class—including one family member who lovingly helped to care for my family (which included three young sons) while I was away. I was able to go through class knowing that my family and home were being well taken care of. God was clearly caring for me as I took this step!

Class instruction helped me to grow in my spiritual understanding, providing me with the tools to confidently and effectively prove the healing truths of Christian Science and to apply them when praying for my family, my church, my community, and the world. Class also brought out a greater expectancy of witnessing and feeling divine, omnipresent Love in my life.
