Spiritual healthcare for children

Phil Davis is Manager of the Committees on Publication for The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. He is also in the healing practice of Christian Science. Recently, Phil spoke with Sentinel Managing Editor Ingrid Peschke, about how Christian Science prayer is a safe and effective means of caring for children today.

Could you tell us briefly about the nature of your work? What does the Committee on Publication do on a daily basis?

Well, we have representatives worldwide, and all of us have a specific responsibility, although how we carry it out varies from place to place. Our assignment is to "correct in a Christian manner impositions on the public in regard to Christian Science, injustices done to [Mary Baker] Eddy or members of this Church by the daily press, by periodicals or circulated literature of any sort" (Mary Baker Eddy, Manual of The Mother Church, p. 97).
