'I REALIZED I WAS HEALED'

Over the summer my husband and I flew to Denver to visit family. The last night before returning home we were all going out to a nice restaurant for dinner. I went out the door, leading the pack up the walkway to the car.

Suddenly I tripped and fell hard on my right side. Everyone in the group came running over to see how I was. As I lay there, trying to calm my thoughts, I assured everyone I felt fine and was able to get up without pain. Then we all piled into the van and started off for the restaurant. But after we'd driven for a few miles, I started to feel cold and began shaking. The family then decided to return home and order take-out instead, so I could call a Christian Science practitioner for prayerful help.

Talking with the practitioner and taking some alone-time in thoughtful prayer helped still the fear I felt. I stopped shaking, and my temperature returned to normal. I read and studied the description of Kingdom of Heaven in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy: "The reign of harmony in divine Science; the realm of unerring, eternal, and omnipotent Mind; the atmosphere of Spirit, where Soul is supreme" (p. 590).
