SHEDDING LIGHT ON LOVE & SEXUALITY

GINNY LUEDEMAN is a Christian Science practitioner and lecturer from Salem, Oregon. She's been traveling throughout the United States giving her lecture, "Plain talk about love and sexuality." She's also spoken at several Spiritual Activist Summits for youth, cosponsored by TMCYouth and local branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, Sentinel staff editor Ingrid Peschke recently spoke with Ginny in between lecture trips.

I enjoyed hearing your lecture on love and sexuality at the Los Angeles Spiritual Activist Summit back in April—and I noticed the young Christian Scientists who attended your talk seemed to really relate to it. I know you've been getting a lot of straightforward questions on the topic. Can we start with why you feel sexuality is so important to address?

Sexuality is a big topic, and it needs to be thought about in the light of spirituality. We all deal with sexual issues in some way, so I'm grateful the Sentinel is helping to clarify thought about it.
