LETTERS

I was so pleased to read Beverly Goldsmith's article, "A feeling of fellowship," in the January 2 issue ["Never really alone"]. I have moved several times, both within the United States and overseas, so I have had many experiences with Churches of Christ, Scientist. It is such a joy to attend churches that, as Mrs. Goldsmith states, really express that "sense of family fellowship—closeness with others who [are] on a similar spiritual journey; the feeling of belonging to a community of people who [care] about them."

I feel it is so important for many longtime church members to reach out to visitors and to longtime attendees who haven't yet joined, with a warm and loving welcome, while thinking of ways to make them feel included. That is truly what every member or visitor in a Christian Science church deserves to experience.

I also want to give thanks for Kathryn Peters's article in the same issue, "My Grandma's always with me." I truly appreciate Kathryn's spiritual directness and trust in eternal Life.
