LETTERS

As a Christian Science nurse, I cannot express enough gratitude for the wonderfully complete and inspiring October 24 issue, "What is a Christian Science nurse?" It is not just the general public that does not know about Christian Science nurses; many Christian Scientists are also just as uninformed.

I find that one of the most comforting provisions Mary Baker Eddy established in the Manual of The Mother Church is that for the Christian Science nurse.

I have known Christian Science nurses—women and men, young people and those well past retirement age—ready and willing to help care for those relying on Christian Science for healing. It is a lovely and supportive aspect of our wonderful religion, and should be more widely known and appreciated.
