My prayers for peace

Infinite One, may we lay down our swords, pick up Your Word, and learn of a better way to fight. By understanding Your oneness and allness, may we recognize who we are, who our one Parent is, who our brother is, who our sister is, and what the enemy is—and is not. In this way may we build up our spiritual defenses. May we feel You, the one Father-Mother of the universe, close enough to embrace and comfort us when we are afraid and feel helpless, hopeless, homeless.

Almighty Love, guide us safely to the sure refuge that the Psalmist promises, and let us rest there, under Your wings, as precious children. Love us so much that our fear fades into nothing and our courage becomes strong for whatever lies ahead.

Dear God, one Spirit, You cause the sun to rise, the stars to hang, the moon to glow, the sands to blow. There is no greater power on earth or in heaven than You. Thank You for never separating us from immortal Soul, no matter where we go or what we do. We may believe at times that You have forsaken us, or that Your peace will never come. Have mercy on us, and forgive us if momentarily doubt that You are all-harmonious, ever-present Principle. Gently shepherd us back to the calm consciousness of our unity with You.
