New appointment

We are pleased to announce the election of Paul D. Grimes, C.S.B., of St. Louis, Missouri, to serve as a member of The Christian Science Board of Directors. He takes the place of J. Anthony Periton, C.S.B., who has asked to return to his native England and to the fulltime public practice and teaching of Christian Science.

Mr. Grimes has been in the public practice of Christian Science healing since 1971 and a Christian Science teacher since 1982. He has twice served as a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, and from 1978 to 1983 he was Field Assistant for the former Department of Branches and Practitioners.

For many years he has been a member of Sixth Church of Christ, Scientist, St. Louis, where he has served in many posts, including First Reader, Sunday School teacher, and as a member of the Executive Board. His additional church experience includes Armed Services ministry, and work with Christian Science organizations at universities and colleges. His wife Jill is a Christian Science practitioner, who has advertised in the The Christian Science Journal since 1984.
