Q In order to teach us things, does God punish us or send evil to teach us a lesson?

A If evil were God's provision for teaching and helping us, then there may have been instances when it could appear that even Jesus was sinning—going directly against God's will—when he healed people. Instead, when he was confronted with disease or sin, he destroyed them with the law of God, good.

Q Is death ever God's will for someone?

A If death were God's will, or if death were some sort of escape or friend, then Jesus might have prayed for people to die. Yet he himself overcame every aspect of death. The demonstration of life as God's reflection is the way to peace and joy. There is nothing good about death. It brings no benefit.
