YOUR LETTERS

"As they left, I was aware of the fact that they had come with God's love and were leaving with it also."

Thank you for all the articles in the periodicals recently regarding children and their nurture. The spiritual inspiration and insight that goes into and comes from these issues is a shining light that reaches the receptive heart.

On the evening of our branch church's lecture in a large library, two children came over to read the easel display entitled "Loving Our Children" which we were putting up in the lobby. I said to them, "You kids can come." Shortly before the talk began, they came into the auditorium and sat next to me in the back row. The boy asked about the literature on tables behind us and was told that it was about how God loves us, and that they could help themselves after the lecture. They sat fairly quietly, with a good deal of attention during the hour, and afterward took a Bible and Science and Health. When told that the Sentinel contained an article just for children, they eagerly put the magazine in their backpacks. As they left, I was aware of the fact that they had come with God's love and were leaving with it also.

Surely the Sentinel is holding guard over all children, "[t]he spiritual thoughts and representatives of Life, Truth, and Love" (Science and Health, p. 582).
