Truly beautiful you

In high school, I couldn't wait to get the new month's issue of the trendiest fashion magazine. Beauty, it seemed, was packaged perfectly in its pages.

But how could I ever measure up to the models that graced the pages? I experimented with various diet fads, but pizza on Saturday night would undo all the week's effort. I'd be back to square one where the up-and-down numbers on the scale would hypnotize me into a moody roller coaster.

In the midst of all this, I also attended a Christian Science Sunday School. Here, the beauty-glamour-image stuff I was fixated on during the week was routinely moved aside for an entirely different definition of beauty.
