Pain and suffering healed

A couple of years ago, I had a wonderful healing through Christian Science that gave me much courage and deepened my trust in God.

I was in great pain, and I was unable to lie down or sit down without great difficulty. I became very fearful. But I knew that fear was not something I needed to accept. In the Bible, Paul assured the Corinthians in his first letter, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be temptedabove that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it" (I Cor. 10:13). The truths in this verse became a real stronghold for me.

I turned immediately to Christian Science treatment. The healing did not come quickly, and as I look back now, I am grateful for what I learned during this time. This period of prayer was a time of intense spiritual growth for me. I knew that not only must I reject all that error was presenting to me, but I must accept my spiritual identity. I must expect the outcome to be good in my life right now—expect healing!
