Man able to walk again

A few years ago at work I began to feel that my talents weren't being used as much as they might be. Repeated attempts of mine to rectify the situation were of no avail. This perceived hindrance to my progress soon turned to a full-blown resentment toward a couple of fellow workers. Feeling justified in this kind of thinking, I didn't see any need to pray about it.

One day, however, after having worked very hard at home for several hours in the yard, I found it painful to stand up straight. Very quickly this became an inability to stand up straight. Then I woke one morning and couldn't stand at all without extreme pain, which drove me back to bed.

After praying about the problem for a few days but finding no relief, I rang up a Christian Science practitioner for treatment through prayer. When she pointed out that I was leaning on resentment instead of on God's truth, I didn't at first take her comments to heart. But I was, in fact, using resentment as a support, and of course resentment is no support—something I was feeling literally.
