The den

Like Daniel, I faced a den of lions.
Just a few that troubled me were:
fear,
doubt,
discouragement.
But Daniel and I
Had something in common:
We both loved God.
That love helped me to replace
Fear with trust,
Doubt with hope,
Discouragement with gratitude.
These qualities of thought
Strengthened me,
Shut the lions' mouths,
And lifted me up,
Out of the den,
To freedom.
