FROM THE EDITORS

Criminal behavior is not natural or normal for anyone. That would be a startling headline to read in tomorrow's newspaper. Yet if we reason from a spiritual standpoint instead of from the basis of material evidence—if we understand the nature of God and His creation—such a declaration of man's innate goodness is then entirely sensible, even healing.

God's creation does not include a devious, violent mortal. The man of God's creating actually reflects God. Therefore, if God is purely good, if He is Truth, Love, and divine Principle, His reflection expresses integrity, humility, and compassion. Sometimes it seems that there's a dark cloud obscuring these facts about an individual. Yet when clearly seen, these truths are exactly what heals.

We can always go directly to God for help. Through humble, heartfelt prayer, any suggestion that God's man is malicious or dishonest dissipates until the true nature of the divine creation becomes more distinctly recognizable. We then discover that law, order, and security—instead of being determined by fluctuating human circumstances—are actually established in God. And we can always depend on the divine law.
