I would like to acknowledge God's saving grace and the healing power of Christian Science, which resulted in the complete dissolving of a fibroid tumor.

At that time nearly fifteen years ago, when our household was busy with three generations under one roof, I unwittingly allowed my thought to become incensed concerning a loved one. I did not fully realize how harmful it could be to indulge in deciding what someone else should or should not be doing. Also, there was an inner turmoil—as I felt like both Martha and Mary—in the carrying out of duties both at home and church.

Around that time it became evident there was something wrong in my abdomen. I decided to get a diagnosis. I was told I had a fibroid tumor. However, I did not follow the physician's recommendation for almost immediate surgery. Instead, I got in touch with a Christian Science practitioner. After listening to my tale of woe, he reminded me of this statement in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy: "There is but one primal cause. Therefore there can be no effect from any other cause, and there can be no reality in aught which does not proceed from this great and only cause."
