Can Christian Science heal broken bones?

The healing of broken bones is not beyond the power of God. Spiritual understanding proves that "with God all things are possible."

One day when I was a student in school, a friend said to me: "I gather you're a Christian Scientist. Tell me, what would you do if you broke your arm?"

I dodged the issue at the time by protesting that it was a hypothetical question I couldn't be expected to answer just like that. But the question came back to me afterward, and I asked myself if I really knew what I would do, and if I really believed that what I did would be effective. I wondered, too, why broken bones should always seem so special and therefore harder to heal than anything else.

As a Christian Scientist I accepted the fundamental idea of spiritual healing: that man's being is actually spiritual and therefore we can respond to the healing power of God, divine Spirit and Love. I was also convinced that praying to God, the one divine Mind, to help us understand the full meaning and implication of this spiritual truth, rather than just pleading for physical healing, can and does correct what seem to be discordant material conditions, including broken bones.
