From the age of three, in the Christian Science Sunday School I began learning of God as my Father-Mother, divine Love. My acceptance of the reality and allness of good at that tender age made my childhood very happy and healthy.

Fear of the dark and fear of thunderstorms were just two of the problems that were overcome by my own prayers. My childlike faith was also helpful to my mother at a time when she was not feeling well. With trust in God's healing power I assured my mother that she would soon feel better, and she did.

Whenever I have been ill I have been healed through Christian Science treatment. One healing that took place while I was growing up stands out in memory. During a hot summer I became tired and listless and could eat very little. Most of the time I slept. A practitioner was called to help me through prayer. I remember that my thought stayed with the reality of good. My confidence in that fact totally eliminated fear from my thinking. In about three weeks I was completely restored to health. I was able to take a train trip to a distant state with my dear grandmother. We were so pleased to be together.
