Throughout my life I have been greatly blessed by the study and practice of Christian Science. My first published testimony was written while I was serving in the military. Since then there has been an abundant sense of good health, and many healings.

A few years after my military service, my dad passed away. In praying prior to that time, I had found great inspiration in these words from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 258): "God expresses in man the infinite idea forever developing itself, broadening and rising higher and higher from a boundless basis." I had seen, to some degree at least, that man is fundamentally limitless, so death is no part of man's existence. I will never forget how completely this prevented me from mourning for my father. I taught Sunday School the next day with peace and inspiration.

More recently my mother passed on suddenly. When I first heard the news, I turned to God and felt His healing presence. My consciousness filled with spiritual truths, affirming man's eternal being. Consequently, there was no period of grief, and I was able to fulfill my duties as executor of the estate with freedom.
