Out of deep gratitude I would like to testify today that Christian Science is the way of Life. From my sixteenth to my twentieth year I attended the Christian Science Sunday School. Those years laid the foundation for my entire life. Loving teachers convinced me of the truth of this Science, and I was able to prove it for myself in small experiences. When I left Sunday School, it was clear to me that my salvation lay only in continuing in this teaching. So I became a member of a branch church and of The Mother Church.

My first big healing was of a severe inflammation of the middle ear. In those days I was working, and my employer required me to see a doctor. But I didn't take any medication. Instead I asked a Christian Science practitioner to help me through prayer. I studied Mrs. Eddy's writings a lot and read other Christian Science literature.

One day, after examining me again, the doctor informed me that the condition had become much worse and that I should be operated on. He said I would have to see a specialist. I called the practitioner that same day, and she came to see me. We spent a wonderful hour sharing spiritual truths; my consciousness was greatly enlightened.
