In gratitude for God's unfailing goodness, I would like to share two recent healings.

At one time a painful condition developed in the heel of one foot. I prayed for myself for many days, endeavoring to "walk with Love" (Christian Science Hymnal, No. 139), but the pain and difficulty in walking and standing persisted. So I asked for help through prayer from a Christian Science practitioner.

I will always be grateful for this woman's loving, cheerful assurances when I called her, and for the passages in the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings that I studied at her request and that helped me greatly in lifting thought above the pain. During this time, at one point it was necessary for me to conduct a choral rehearsal which required my standing and working for two hours. When the rehearsal was over, however, I had to laugh, for in that two hours I had felt no pain, which proved that disease is mental. From then on, progress was rapid, until full healing was evident. I now walk normally.
