"I have lots of loves"

So answered a toddler when his grandfather teased, "You give Grandma all of your love." The little boy had snuggled close to his grandmother after a story and had offered her a kiss. An incredulous look flashed across the boy's face when he heard his grandfather's remark, and he replied, "Don't you know I have lots of loves?"

This child perceived something of the eternal truth that Love is infinite. And why is this so? Because "God is love" and is infinite, See I John 4:8 and I Kings 8:27. as the Holy Bible teaches. Mrs. Eddy, the author of Science and Health, characterizes divine Love as omnipresent, inexhaustible, limitless. And because man is God's likeness, he is endowed by God with the capacity to love without limit. So, as the boy recognized, we all can love boundlessly. Each of us can claim and demonstrate his true identity as God's infinitely loving child.

Further insight into the nature of inexhaustible divine Love and its expression, man, is gained as we employ some of the other synonyms for God given to us by Mrs. Eddy in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health. She shows that these unite as one because God is One. Therefore the attributes and faculties of any given synonym apply to the others as well.
