For many years I have begun each day reading the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly. In Miscellaneous Writings Mrs. Eddy tells us (p. 215), "Christian Science demands order and truth." The protection and guidance this daily study has brought me can never be measured. I liken it to putting on armor. When discordant situations arise, harmony has already been established in my consciousness. When I went to work after spending many years as a homemaker, this study enabled me to be at my job through fifteen years without missing a day.

After I had lived in the same house for twenty-seven years, I felt it was time to move. I put aside all human arguments, knowing the Father would guide me every step of the way. This was a familiar command (Prov. 3:5, 6): "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." I asked a Christian Science practitioner to help me. Not long after, I acquired a home at a delightful place for senior citizens who are Christian Scientists. Subsequent events have proved the correctness of that move. Later I found congenial companionship in a second marriage to a man who is also a longtime Scientist.

For some time my husband had a lump on the top of his head. It was noticeable because it protruded an inch above his hair. He prayed daily to overcome it. Eventually he asked a practitioner for help. It was recommended he develop his understanding of humility. The practitioner's prayer and my husband's obedience were so effective the lump began to drain the very next day. In a short time it disappeared, and his head is now normal in appearance.
